Intro to Adobe Photoshop and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI), for photographers and digital artists and illustrators. It will meet four times:
Sat, Sep 7, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm – Intro: learn what's possible with today's best image editor and generative AI imageware. Expand your creative space!
Sat, Sep 14, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm – Install: a 90-minute, one-on-one session with Jim to be arranged at your convenience this Saturday (first come, first serve), either at Symphony Knoll or on Zoom (your choice, and Zoom sessions can be on other dates). Jim will help you install and run Photoshop™, and/or one of the Gen-AI image creation apps.
Sat, Sep 21, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm – Essentials learn Photoshop's key concepts and tools: what to use and what you can ignore. Edit images like a pro with today's best image editor.
Sat, Sep 28, 10:30 am to 12:00 pm – Gen-AI: look at the best of current Gen-AI imageware: MidJourney, Dream Studio, Leonardo, Firefly, DALL•E 3, Gemeni; and learn how to combine the generated images with your digital art.
Notes – No previous experience with Photoshop™ is required, but you should be comfortable working with computer files. If you don't have Photoshop, you can rent it from Adobe for $10/month

Location – The workshop room is in the lower level of Symphony Knoll at 15 Mt Airy Rd South, Croton on Hudson. It's wheelchair accessible, it has a full kitchen and restrooms, and has WiFi for this workshop's students.
Teacher –
Jim Christensen is a teacher, photographer, computer scientist, head of the Photographers of Northern Westchester (PNW), and president of the Croton Arts Council. He's taught Photoshop at many of the photo clubs in the Northeast. You can see more of his work at
